Role summary
Our client, a leading construction company, is seeking a QHSE Coordinator to join their team for a major microtunneling project in Northern Angola. The project, commissioned by a prominent oil & gas group, involves a 1 km microtunnel starting from a cliff and extending into the ocean.
Responsibilities and Duties

Implement and enforce quality, health, safety, and environmental (QHSE) policies on-site.

Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with local and international QHSE standards.

Provide safety and quality training and awareness sessions for site personnel.

Monitor daily operations to identify potential hazards and quality issues, taking corrective actions.

Report and investigate incidents and non-conformities, ensuring corrective measures are in place.

Collaborate with project teams to ensure a safe, efficient, and high-quality work environment.

Assist in emergency response planning and drills.

Conduct quality inspections and audits to ensure adherence to project specifications and standards.

Ensure proper documentation and reporting of QHSE activities.
Sought Profile

Previous experience in a QHSE role within the construction or oil & gas industry.

Strong knowledge of QHSE regulations and best practices.

Ability to work in a challenging offshore environment.

Effective communication skills and ability to train personnel.

Fluent in English; Fluent Portuguese, French is a plus.
