Building Management System (BMS) Manager

We, Aventa, are recruiting on behalf of an International Logistics Company’s Design & Construction team, which is responsible for the construction of the company’s vast European building infrastructure, including Fulfillment Centers, Cross Dock buildings, and last-mile delivery stations, as well as the refurbishment of existing facilities. We are currently seeking an experienced Building Management System (BMS) Manager to support the company in achieving its Net Zero Carbon goals. In this role, you will be responsible for the design and improvement of the Building Management System (BMS) implemented in its buildings. We require expertise to advise internal and external teams, as well as to enhance and optimize the design, implementation, and operation of the BMS.

You will be part of the Engineering Services team, which oversees all aspects of the company’s buildings, including mechanical handling equipment and robotics systems. As the Subject Matter Expert for BMS, you will act as the key liaison between the Design & Construction team and external stakeholders.

This opportunity combines strong engineering, construction, planning, project management, and contract management expertise. We are looking for a candidate with a proven track record and technical expertise in electrical or mechanical engineering, with demonstrated experience in BMS applications. The role is based in the EU/UK and will involve frequent travel across these regions.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead technical reviews and drive schedule acceleration, cost savings, standardization.

• Collect and sync feedback from developer, GCs and Consultants and internal stakeholders

• Deep dive on technical details and lead problem resolution on a need basis

• Review, challenge and improve our end-to-end BMS solutions

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• University Degree, B.S. or Master, in Engineering

• Proven engineering, execution, design or prototyping experience, and holistic design expertise  

• Proven technical leadership experience in development and implementation of BMS projects

• Excellent working knowledge using MS Excel, AutoCAD, MS Project and related software

• Good knowledge of Control System,

• Good understanding of Electrical Diagram,

• Good understanding of HVAC

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Work experience within field execution, i.e. with General Contractors

• Project management certification (PMP or equivalent)

• Working and knowledge using BIM and / or 3D modelling tools, Revit and related

• Cost Management or Quantity Surveying experience

• Flexibility to travel up to 50% across projects in EU/UK.

• Speaking of other EU language(s) is a plus
