Role Definition

We are looking for an experienced Project Buyer to help us shaping the future. Based in Australia, within the Purchasing Department of the Transmission Business Unit, reporting directly to the Projects Purchasing Coordinator, the candidate will have the following responsibilities:

 

  • Develop and execute the sourcing plan of Projects within the assigned Region;

  • Manage the Project sourcing plan guaranteeing compliance with budget, timing, contractual requirements;

  • Manage complex contractual negotiations, ensuring, with the support of the legal department, the proper flowing down of the main contract provisions;

  • Implement purchasing procedures and processes;

  • Identify saving and improvement opportunities in terms of costs, process, quality, service, etc. possibly introducing new ways of thinking and approaches looking also at synergies across the Region;

  • Promote Purchasing early involvement and support Strategic Tender purchasing team in the negotiation of Pre-Bid Agreements;

  • Scout the market to expand Suppliers basis for strategic commodities;

 

 

We are looking for a Project Buyer with the following skills and motivations: 

 

  • Previous experience of 2-3 years within Purchasing function;

  • Solid professional experience developed into multinational companies;

  • Determined, enthusiast and committed to manage complexity and challenges;

  • Excellent team building attitude;

  • Good communication skills and strategic mindset;

  • Proficiency in English;

  • Familiar with SAP system.
