Offshore Wind Farm in Netherlands

Role Definition

We are looking on behalf of a Major OWF Developer for a Client Representative – Scour Protection F/M for a 6 weeks ROTATION starting in May plus a 6 weeks rotation in November.The scope of the Scour Protection (SRI) consists of 140 locations to either be installed in two split campaigns. The stones will be loaded in Norway and installed on site. A main focus will be on the load-out, installation sequence, positioning and as-built Quality assurance.The non exhaustive list of the task is the following :

        • Provide HSE leadership
        • Provide Daily Progress Reports to the Employer’s Project Team
        • Check and sign the DPR’s (using either the Employer’s or the Contractor’s versions should be IT trained if necessary)
        • Provide regular progress updates via digital photographs and videos of operations
        • Advise and support the Employer’s Project Team
        • Witness the onshore preparation and/or load-out activities
        • Witness the offshore installation activities
        • Monitor weather conditions and forecasts
        • Work with the Contractor and MWS to optimise production during workable weather windows
        • Participate in meetings on the vessel (e.g. toolbox, morning meeting, HSE meetings etc.)
        • Report any deviations from contractual agreements, approved procedures, programme or the issued work permits
        • Diplomatically provide Contractor supervision during the works
        • Maintain communications with all relevant interfaces
        • Convey any SIMOPS requirements and facilitate planning
        • Be aware of any specific Emergency Response responsibilities
        • Be empowered to make decisions within the boundaries of the EVR scope, being fully aware of commercial constraints and while keeping the Employer fully briefed
        • Request procedural modifications where necessary
        • Review the as-built records/ surveys for Quality assurance purposes only
        • Recommend updates/ changes to the work instructions during offshore execution, if necessary Review the DPRs and provide input to disputes, stated by the Contractor and provide feedback to the Installation Manager
        • Continually review / QC field data (if applicable) – and reject where necessary
        • Verify and agree activity durations, compare against required performance
        • Assist Employer’s Project Manager(s) with final cost projections
        • Attend the post-appraisal and lessons learned meeting, with recommendations for the improvement of safety, procedure efficiency and costs during future projects
