Role Definition

Aventa is currently looking to hire an E&I engineer/supervisor in order to cover the following role : Responsible for the supervision of the electrical and instrumentation activities that will take place at the foundation assembly site (Eiffage Metal at Fos sur mer).

OVERALL ROLE

Responsible for the supervision of the electrical and instrumentation activities that will take place at the foundation assembly site (Eiffage Metal at Fos sur mer).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

General

Ensure that the E&I activities comply with the project requirements in terms of HSE, quality, planning and performance. Quality being the main focus.

Define, implement and maintain the Construction Plan and associated procedures to coordinate the Construction activities.

Ensure the required E&I documentation (check list, punch list, planning, procedures, etc.) is issued from the Contractor and review and comment such documentation.

Ensure required technical reviews are planned and performed in due time with the relevant attendees.

Ensure internal interfaces with other parties and work in direct interfaces, when required, with the Commissioning manager, Foundation package manager, Quality manager, HSE manager, Site Construction managers, employer’s third parties, Support the Commissioning manager for the external interfaces with Contractors and others parties are followed and managed.

Ensure internal and external lessons learnt sessions are performed and actions are implemented in order to optimize the commissioning. Make sure the knowledge is handed over to company.

Ensure that all personnel involved in the project in charge of E&I tasks have adequate training/accreditation.

During engineering

Ensure that Contractors E&I procedures and test plans are in line with Employer requirements. Review and comment Contractor’s E&I documentation and challenge the proposed activity plan, schedule and procedures and ensure alignment with overall E&I project requirements, Participate in all relevant reviews such as early HAZOPs, HAZIDs, technical reviews, etc.

During construction

Ensure that E&I construction quality standards are followed. Perform spot checks, in liaison with PGL QC.

Coordinate and manage E&I activities in close cooperation with the Commissioning Manager and the Site manager, the planning.

Review E&I commissioning test results and ensure proper oversight of Contractor testing.

Make sure that the prerequisites (check lists, sequences) are met before starting each E&I activity. Ensure electrical safety requirements and procedures and implemented and followed Monitor the sequence of operations both locally and remotely (coordination between on and offshore sites) .

Identify the need for additional testing.

Lead the E&I of the Employer provided systems (Meteorological, Bird/Mammal Monitoring, etc.) Support the Commissioning manager for the handovers between E&I and Asset Management are performed.

Be the main point of contact for all E&I activities at the foundation assembly site.

Qualification

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

  • Field experience on E&I construction (technician, field engineer).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as E&I Engineer on complex power plant including low and medium voltage equipment (LV/MV). Experience in onshore or offshore windfarm E&I is great plus.
  • Engineering and operational expertise in LV and communication electrical systems.
  • Good knowledge of the French electrical safety regulation
  • IT planning tools
  • Fluent in French and English
