Role Definition
We are seeking a highly experienced Electrical Expert to support the engineering phase of our biogas infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in electrical distribution, equipment specification, and system design within the framework of international standards. You will be responsible for developing and reviewing key engineering deliverables, ensuring electrical systems are safe, reliable, and aligned with project objectives.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop comprehensive technical specifications for:

HV/LV transformers
-
Electrical protection systems
-
Calculation philosophy notes
-
LV switchboards and distribution systems
-

Review and comment on supplier documentation, including:

Electrical drawings and schematics
-
Sizing calculations and equipment specs
-
-
Draft calculation philosophy notes covering:
-
Cable sizing
-
Protection coordination and selectivity
-
Short-circuit analysis
-

Ensure designs are compliant with applicable electrical codes and standards.
Required Expertise:

Deep knowledge of electrical distribution systems, from HV (15–20 kV) to LV.

Proven ability in electrical calculations relevant to industrial infrastructure:

Cable sizing
-
Protection schemes
-
Short-circuit studies
-

Strong command of international standards, especially:
-
IEC and NF
-
Familiarity with BS standards is a plus.

Additional Skills:

Excellent written communication skills in English, particularly for technical documentation.

Strong collaboration skills; able to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.

Minimum of 15 years’ experience in electrical engineering roles, ideally with exposure to renewable or biogas projects.
