Our costumer is launching an ambitious project to standardize their production processes and are looking for a passionate and motivated Process Engineer to join their team.
Role Definition
As part of a major initiative to standardize and scale production processes, we are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the engineering efforts for the design, construction, and operation of bio-methane and biogas production facilities.
As a Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all engineering disciplines within the project, ensuring seamless coordination across teams and ensuring that the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers, including process, mechanical, electrical, civil, and automation experts, while working closely with project management and executive leadership.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and managing the engineering team across all disciplines (civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, etc.) to deliver on the bio-methane and biogas production project goals.
- Overseeing the design, engineering, and execution phases of the project, ensuring that all engineering deliverables meet project specifications, regulatory requirements, and budget constraints.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for all engineering activities, ensuring effective communication and coordination between design teams, project management, and construction teams.
- Developing and reviewing engineering designs, technical specifications, and project plans, ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and codes, including NF EN standards and Eurocodes.
- Managing engineering resources and ensuring that engineering activities are scheduled and executed in alignment with the project’s overall timeline and milestones.
- Providing technical leadership in risk management, identifying potential engineering challenges, and implementing solutions to mitigate project risks.
- Ensuring all engineering designs are optimized for efficiency, safety, and sustainability, particularly in relation to the environmental impact of bio-methane and biogas production.
- Overseeing quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) processes for all engineering deliverables, ensuring that designs meet safety, environmental, and operational standards.
- Liaising with external stakeholders, including regulatory authorities, contractors, and suppliers, to ensure that all engineering work complies with legal and industry standards.
- Supporting the commissioning and startup of the bio-methane and biogas production facilities, providing engineering expertise during these critical phases.
- Managing the engineering budget, ensuring that all engineering tasks are completed within the allocated resources and cost constraints.
- Monitoring and forecasting the level of activity and for the submission of offers. He/she will ensure the technical validation of offers with the support of the technical referents of each discipline.
- Mentoring and developing junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance engineering team.
Qualification
1. Multidisciplinary Engineering Expertise
- Strong background in process, mechanical, civil, electrical, and automation engineering for industrial projects.
- Experience leading engineering teams on complex industrial projects, preferably within the energy, gas, or renewable energy sectors.
2. Project Management and Leadership
- Proven ability to manage large-scale engineering projects, from conceptual design through execution and commissioning.
- Strong project management skills, including experience with project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
3. Compliance and Regulatory Knowledge
- Expertise in engineering standards and codes, including NF EN, Eurocodes, and relevant environmental and safety regulations.
- Experience managing projects in compliance with ATEX standards and other regulatory frameworks applicable to biogas and methane production.
4. Risk Management and Problem Solving
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience identifying and mitigating risks in engineering projects.
- Ability to manage technical risks related to design, construction, and commissioning of production facilities.
5. Communication and Stakeholder Management
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate across multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
- Experience working with regulatory authorities, contractors, and suppliers to ensure engineering compliance and project success.
- Excellent listening skills.
- Conscientious, rigorous, and concerned with the quality of his communication.
