Role Definition

Aventa consulting is looking fo an HSE Engineer (at Inter-array cables, offshore substation and Grid packages level) for one of his clients for an OWF project : 

ROLE SUMMARY

Reporting to the Project Hse Manager,  this role is responsible for the delivery or HSSE oversight, advice, and support to the project team during the project lifecycle.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

  •  Pro-actively work with the team(s) in creating a Zero Harm culture and behaviours;
  •  Support each Package Manager in implementing the COU HSE Charter Internally;
  •  Support each Package Manager in identifying and mitigating HSE risks within each individual Package SoW;
  •  Ensure that each Contractor is implementing COU Contractual HSE Requirements;
  •  Ensure that each Contractor issues, maintains and implements their individual HSE Management Plans and PPSPS;
  •  Support the Project HSE Manager in liaising with the CSPS;
  •  To cascade EDF EN life-saving rules and project safety charter at worksites and ensure implementation by each Contractor;
  •  Ensure that Health and Safety information is efficiently communicated to Project Team members and all other interested parties including Contractors, Subcontractors, visitors;
  •  Prepare and maintain HSE internal induction documentation and conduct internal HSE inductions as necessary;
  •  Develop, maintain and implement an internal PPE Register communicating to Project HSE Manager future PPE requirements;
  •  Prepare, maintain and implement an HSE Training Matrix relevant to each Package/SoW;
  •  Review and comment all relevant HSE documentation as defined by the HSE Manager e.g. HSE Management Plans, PPSPS, PdPs, Risk Assessments Method Statements (RAMS) etc.;
  •  Perform regular site and facilities safety inspections and planned audits tracking the output to Action Closure;


  •  Produce weekly and monthly reports and submit to the Project HSE Manager;
  •  Monitor up Contractor’s HSE performance and propose pre-emptive corrective actions to the Project HSE Manager as required;
  •  Ensure that all incidents and accidents and near misses are properly recorded and reported and properly investigated;
  •  Liaise with other packages to share lessons learnt and apply “best practice” through all project activities;
  •  Report and monitor KPI performance;
  •  Performance of any other job related duties as assigned by the Project HSE Manager.

Qualification

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Fluent spoken and written French & English
  • On & Offshore construction/installation experience
  • Animating and delivering internal HSE processes
  • One Previous offshore wind and/or Oil & Gas experience minimum

DESIRED SKILLS

  • Experience delivering Project HSE within French Degree ’94 and ’92 environments
  • HSE process development
