Role Definition

Responsibilities and specific technical competencies :  

• Act as a technical interface with the subcontractor for document preparation 
• Act as technical point of contact for scopes of work within the project  
• Report to IAC Package Teams outcome of meetings and technical discussions 
• Critically evaluates technical and contractual information  
• Analyses, review and understands subcontractor technical responses    
• Fully grasps all engineering challenges and effectively utilizes engineering tools and techniques to overcome challenges as they occur.  
• Review technical procedures associated with installing cables in the offshore marine environment.  
• Ensures that the engineering technical solution provision is best in class and effective with respect to cost, quality, and Safety.
• Good word processing skills     

Engineering including review of method statements for the following activities :    

• Cable burial risk assessment (CBRA)  
• Route Engineering,  
• Burial assessment study (BAS)  
• Survey works,  
• Cable installation works, 
• Pre-sweeping/ dredging works,  
• Mattress installation works,
• Rock placement (rock dumping) 
• Trenching works, 
• Cable pull-in at landfall and at offshore substation    
• Preparation of RAMS, ITP (inspection test plan), DPR (Daily Progress Report), HAZID, HAZOP, HSE and Quality documentation, construction drawing, calculation     

Qualification

• Experience : > 5 years
• Experience as Cable Installation Engineer (umbilical, flexible or riser could be suitable as well)
• BOSIET + GWO if possible

Conditions

Location :

• Based in Paris 
• Main activity onshore
• Flexibility to go offshore

Travel : Frequent (min biweekly presence in Paris, travel for meetings)
