Role Definition
ROLE SUMMARY
REPORTING TO THE PROJECT HSE MANAGER AND SUPPORTING THE WIND TURBINE GENERATOR PACKAGE MANAGER, THIS ROLE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DELIVERY OF HSSE OVERSIGHT, ADVICE AND SUPPORT TO THE PROJECT TEAM DURING THE PROJECT LIFECYCLE .
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
- Pro-actively work with the team(s) in creating a Zero Harm culture and behaviours;
- Support the HSE and Package Managers in implementing the COU HSE Charter;
- Support the Package Manager in identifying and mitigating HSE risks within Package Scope of Work;
- Ensure that Contractors are implementing COU Contractual HSE Requirements;
- Ensure that each Contractor issues, maintains and implements their individual HSE Management Plans and PPSPS;
- Support the Contractors in liaising with the CSPS where required;
- To cascade EDF Renewables lifesaving rules and project HSE charter at worksites and ensure implementation by each Contractor;
- Ensure that HSE information is efficiently communicated to Project Team members and all other interested parties including Contractors, Subcontractors, visitors;
- Review and comment all package relevant Contractor’s HSE documentation e.g. HSE Management Plans, PPSPS, PdPs, Risk Assessments Method Statements (RAMS), Emergency Response Plans, incident and investigation report etc.;
- Perform regular site and facilities HSE inspections and planned audits and ensure tracking the output to action closure;
- Perform daily safety tours at the WTG package sites especially pre-assembly harbour. Liaise with contractor site team especially HSE team for day-to-day follow up.
- Attend with site management to weekly safety walkthrough.
- Attend to Contractor toolbox talk.
- Produce weekly and monthly reports and submit to the Project HSE Manager. Report and monitor HSE Key Performance Indicators;
- Monitor Contractor’s HSE performance and propose preventive and corrective actions as required;
- Implement weekly/bi-weekly HSE meeting with WTG Contractor HSE manager. Attend WTG weekly meeting. Lead/attend HSE meeting.
- Ensure that all incidents and accidents and near misses are properly reported, recorded and investigated;
- Liaise with other packages to share lessons learnt and apply “best practice” through all project activities;
- Conduct any other HSE related duties as assigned by the Project HSE Manager.
- Attend/support the execution of drills in line with WTG Contractor Emergency Response Plan (ERP)Support and monitor the implementation of WTG Contractor HSE incentive plan
Qualification
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Fluent spoken and written French & English
- On & Offshore construction/installation experience
- Knowledge of WTG package activities (onshore fabrication/assembly and offshore construction/commissioning)
- Knowledge/proficiency of/in French HSE legislation including electrical safety (NF C 18-510), working at height, lifting rules
- Animating and delivering internal HSE processes
- Able to develop constructive approach and to maintain good communication with Contractors
Conditions
LOCATION & ROLE TENURE
- Starting approx. 1st of October 2024 at EDFR office in Nanterre for 3 months duration then relocating at Le Havre Siemens Gamesa factory and pre-assembly harbour with regular travel to project worksites onshore (Paris, Ouistreham …), or offshore (WTG installation vessel).
- 12 months (renewable)
- Permament site based position. Working 5 days a week. Possible overtime work on Saturdays and Sundays (exceptional and if justified and validated by Project HSE manager)
