Role Definition
Exploration and Development in Marine Energy Technologies.
Detailed work programme
The Trainee will be assigned the following activities:
– Modelling of floating structures and subsea assets using dedicated software (e.g. Orcaflex, Deeplines, FE tool, etc.)
– Design and analysis of marine operations
– Global and local analyses for offshore structures (steel structures, submarine cables, pipelines, etc)
– Write calculation notes, analysis reports, specification of material and engineering presentations
Knowledge, skills and competences to be acquired
Understanding the principles of marine energy technologies.
Familiarity with some engineering aspects of offshore structures and installation analysis.
Monitoring plan
The progression of the student will be checked monthly with a personal meeting with the mentor.
Evaluation plan
Final evaluation based on the completion of assigned tasks and overall performance.
Job mobility
The internship does not involve job mobility but visit to clients can be possible.

40 hours per week
Qualification
Final Year of Engineering shool with a focus on offshore
