Role summary
Under the responsibility of the Engineering Lead , your main responsibilities will be to:
• Manage technically an engineering team within projects/tenders
• Be accountable for the planning of the scope of your team
• Manage delegated external (clients, subcontractors) and internal interfaces (other disciplines, installation, SCM)
• Serve as a technical reference for riser and mooring lines installation
• Be involved in conceptual studies
• Perform installation procedures for riser and mooring lines
• Ensure that installation procedures and associated calculations are in line
• Ensure that specifications and norms related to the project are respected
• Provide support to offshore operations with possible short periods offshore or on yard
• Participate actively in engineers training and development
• Propose innovative solutions allowing cost & risks reduction
• Operate within the Code of Conduct
• Support standards and procedures for the Engineering and Operations Functions
Qualifications
• MSc or PhD in mechanical engineering/hydrodynamics, with relevant work experience in the oil and gas industry or equivalent, with experiences of riser and mooring lines installation methods.
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software.
• Fluent English
• Undertake responsibility for production of deliverables, which may include engineering support to Drafting Office, design calculations, specifications, procedures, analyses, progress reports, bid evaluations, study reports and various 3rd-party submissions.
• Experience in working in a multi-disciplined system engineering team
• Ability to prioritise own workload, manage time accordingly and inform team members where constraints will affect a project in terms of programme or budget.
• Demonstrable ability to work within time/budget constraints
• Significant experience in contractors’ management
• Ability in working in multicultural group
Conditions
• During the FEED phase, majority of the work will be carried out in the regional main office in Pau with frequent travels to Nigeria.
• During the construction phase, the job will be based in Nigeria (rotational scheme).
