Role summary

Under the responsibility of the Installation Engineering Lead – Pipeline Group and Engineering Package Lead – Pipeline Group, your main responsibilities will be to:

• Manage technically an engineering team within projects/tenders

• Be accountable for the planning of the scope of your team

• Manage delegated external (clients, subcontractors) and internal interfaces (other disciplines, installation, SCM)

• Serve as a technical reference for pipeline installation and contribute to the subcontractors selection

• Be involved in conceptual studies

• Perform installation procedures

• Ensure that installation procedures and associated calculations are in line

• Ensure that specifications and norms related to the project are respected

• Provide support to offshore operations with possible short periods offshore or on yard

• Participate actively in engineers training and development

• Participate actively in the PG department know-how consolidation

• Propose innovative solutions allowing cost & risks reduction

• Operate within the Code of Conduct

• Support standards and procedures for the Engineering and Operations Functions

Qualifications

• MSc or PhD in mechanical engineering/hydrodynamics, with relevant work experience in the oil and gas industry or equivalent, with experiences of pipeline installation methods (S&J Lay).

• Proficiency in relevant engineering software.

• Fluent English

• Undertake responsibility for production of deliverables, which may include engineering support to Drafting Office, design calculations, specifications, procedures, analyses, progress reports, bid evaluations, study reports and various 3rd-party submissions.

• Experience in working in a multi-disciplined system engineering team

• Ability to prioritise own workload, manage time accordingly and inform team members where constraints will affect a project in terms of programme or budget.

• Demonstrable ability to work within time/budget constraints

• Ability in Vendor and 3rd Party interface

• Ability in working in multicultural group

Conditions

• Majority of the work is carried out in the regional main office site

• Offshore / Off-site location during project Execution phase as required.

• Working hours according to local regulation and Company’s policy
