Role Definition
For one of out clients, world leader of cable manufacturer, we are currently looking for 2 Logistics Engineer for the German Corridor – one in Bayreuth, and one in Wurzburg.
Main tasks and responsibilities, include:
o Specific planning & execution of ODC & Heavy Lift moves across all modes of transport & handling
o Execution of tailor made route, port & site surveys, taking into account cargo details, means of transport, infrastructure as well as local & international legislation
o Developing of transport solutions
o Approval and evaluation of method statements
o Visual interpretation of entire operation by means of AutoCAD
o Completes heavy transport, heavy engineering and installation of custom mechanical and rigging designs
o Provide design drawings and calculations to clients
o Maintain project documentations containing engineering drawings, calculations, ballast plans, feasibility studies and project correspondence
o Works in many disciplinary fields with a wide range of equipment and techniques like heavy lifting, transportation and rail transport
o Support Project Managers with technical and commercial proposals as well as presentations
Qualification
o Client facing attitude with good communication skills
o Engineering backround ( Bachelor degree in Logistics, Mechanical Engineering)
o Advanced CAD skills
o Strong verbal and written communication skills (verhandlungssicher und fließend deutsch und englisch)
o Must possess an outgoing, dynamic personality
o Ability to work under severe pressure
o Cost analysis and strong negotiation skills
o Ability to build relationships with 3rd party hauliers and ships owners
o Quality, Security, Compliance and Health understanding
