Project details

As a major player in the renewable energy sector, our company is committed to contributing to the energy transition by supporting projects developing innovative and sustainable solutions for the production of bio-methane and biogas. Our costumer is launching an ambitious project to standardize their production processes and are looking for a passionate and motivated Process Engineer to join their team.

Role Definition

As a Mechanical Piping Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the piping systems within our production units. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including process, electrical, and safety engineers, to ensure that all piping systems meet technical, regulatory, and environmental standards.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and specifying piping systems for the transport of gas, liquids, and other media within bio-methane and biogas production units.
  • Performing stress analysis and mechanical integrity assessments to ensure the durability and safety of piping networks.
  • Selecting appropriate materials and ensuring the correct sizing of pipes, fittings, valves, and related mechanical equipment based on process requirements.
  • Overseeing the installation, testing, and commissioning of piping systems in accordance with NF EN 13480 and CODAP
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations, including ATEX and environmental requirements for gas handling and storage systems.
  • Collaborating with procurement teams to define technical specifications for piping materials and liaising with vendors to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Managing piping inspections and non-destructive testing (NDT) to guarantee system integrity and detect potential leaks or failures.
  • Participating in project planning and providing technical support during construction and maintenance phases.
  • Ensuring piping systems are optimized for energy efficiency and minimal losses during operation.

Profile:

For Junior Profiles:

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Piping Engineering, or a related field.
  • Initial experience (internship or junior role) in mechanical or piping design for industrial projects.
  • Familiarity with piping design tools and a strong understanding of material specifications and standards.

For Senior Profiles:

  • 5+ years of experience in piping design and engineering within the energy, gas, or industrial sectors.
  • Expertise in stress analysis, piping layout, and material selection for complex industrial systems.
  • Proven ability to lead piping projects and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Why Join Us?
