Role summary

Under the responsibility of RTE, your main responsibilities will be to:

• Conduct high-resolution bathymetric campaigns (MBES).

• Perform Side-Scan Sonar surveys (SSS).

• Operate Sub-bottom Profiler (SBP).

• Conduct Magnetometer/Gradiometer surveys for UXO detection.

• Provide data to DRASSM for submarine archeological assessment.

• Identify potential UXO with ferrous mass above 50kg, their locations, and density in the export cables corridor.

• Collect additional seabed information and geological conditions for detailed cable route design and engineering of cable laying and protection.

• Work on a 12-hour shift basis, both offshore and nearshore.

• Ensure all survey work is performed in accordance with the latest HSEQ and Group procedures.

• Participate in events such as Bid Clarifications, Kick-off meetings, Design Reviews, etc.

• Provide technical engineering support to other departments within the Engineering Group and to colleagues in terms of training and mentoring.

• Ensure that know-how is transferred within the discipline & attend to discipline meeting as required.

Qualifications

• Senior level experience in offshore and nearshore archeological surveys.

• Proficiency in operating high-resolution bathymetric campaigns (MBES), Side-Scan Sonar surveys (SSS), Sub-bottom Profiler (SBP), and Magnetometer/Gradiometer surveys.

• Fluent English.

• Experience in working in a multi-disciplined system engineering team.

• Ability to prioritize own workload, manage time accordingly, and inform team members where constraints will affect a project in terms of program or budget.

• Demonstrable ability to work within time/budget constraints.

• Ability in Vendor and 3rd Party interface.

• Ability in working in multicultural group.

Conditions

• Accommodation will be provided aboard the offshore vessel for the offshore part of the survey.

• For the nearshore part of the survey, accommodation will not be provided aboard the vessel. It is the COMPANY’s responsibility to make all necessary arrangements for OCR accommodation near the port of departure of the vessel(s), yet to be determined.

• The operations will take place 24h/24 for 7 days a week for the offshore part and in 12-hour dayshifts for 7 days a week for the nearshore part.

• Working hours according to local regulation and Company’s policy.
