Role Definition
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Offshore Installation Supervisor to oversee the preparation of vessels and the execution of marine operations, including dredging, bundle launching, towing, and final offshore installation as part of the INELFE project. The role is based in Le Verdon-sur-Mer (33) and requires a professional with over 15 years of experience in offshore works, ideally with expertise in cable laying. This is a hands-on supervisory role that will ensure the seamless coordination of offshore activities, with the project extending until June 2025, with the possibility of further extension.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare vessels for offshore operations, ensuring that all equipment, resources, and teams are ready for marine activities, including dredging, towing, and bundle installation.
• Supervise and oversee all offshore operations, including dragging, launching of subsea bundles, and final installation at sea.
• Coordinate with marine crews, contractors, and other key stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient execution of offshore activities.
• Monitor vessel readiness and offshore safety standards, ensuring compliance with marine regulations and safety protocols.
• Develop detailed offshore operation plans, timelines, and resource management strategies to ensure project milestones are achieved.
• Troubleshoot operational challenges in real-time, ensuring swift resolutions to any issues encountered during offshore works.
• Conduct safety briefings and ensure that all personnel are fully trained and equipped for offshore operations.
• Maintain regular communication with project management and other stakeholders, providing detailed reports on the progress of offshore activities.
• Ensure environmental protection and adherence to regulations during marine operations, particularly in relation to dredging and subsea installation.
Qualification
15+ years of experience in offshore operations, with significant exposure to marine installation projects, particularly in cable laying or similar offshore activities.
• Proven expertise in vessel preparation, offshore dragging, towing, and installation operations.
• Strong understanding of marine safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to manage complex offshore operations, often in challenging marine environments.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Fluency in English is preferred.
• Strong collaboration skills with both onshore and offshore teams.
Conditions
Work Location: On-site in Le Verdon-sur-Mer, Gironde (33).
• Duration: Full-time position, with a contract extending until at least June 2025, with a possibility of extension depending on project progress.
