Role Definition
Main Mission:
The Contracts Manager will be responsible for managing contracts for the T&I NOY project. They will supervise contract negotiations, manage payments and claims, and ensure that contractual terms are respected throughout the project’s execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Activity 1: Contract Management and Negotiation

Lead negotiations of contract variations and claims.

Manage the contractual payment schedule.

Anticipate unexpected claims and resolve contractual disputes.

Track and update the register of variations, claims, and amendments.
-
Handle the commercial consequences associated with other contracts.
Deliverables:
-
Regular updates of the monthly progress report.
-
Regular reports to the Package Manager.
-
Contractor’s Request Proposal Form, Variation Orders.
Activity 2: Project Management during Execution

Ensure contractual execution and administration in collaboration with the Package Manager.

Assess the impact of technical decisions and actions during project execution.

Manage commercial and contractual consequences in close collaboration with other Contract Managers.
Deliverables:

Regular reports to the Package Manager.

Legal/contractual advice in coordination with the legal department.
Activity 3: Documentation Support

Review documentation and prepare reports and contractual notes.

Prepare monthly activity reports.
Deliverables:

Evaluation reports and other necessary documents.

Contractual and commercial notes.
Participation in Meetings and Workshops:

Attend monthly coordination meetings to assess contract performance and discuss challenges encountered.

Participate in ad-hoc meetings or workshops as requested by the Client.
Required Skills:

Excellent skills in contract negotiation.

Ability to anticipate and manage contractual risks.

Strong understanding of the commercial implications of technical decisions.

Effective communication and team coordination skills.

Proficiency in contract management and reporting tools.

Proven experience in managing contracts for similar projects.

In-depth knowledge of contractual terms and conditions.

Ability to work proactively and resolve conflicts.
