Job Purpose
Ensure Electrical Safety on Site is well managed. Identify, apply, manage and remove isolations on 66kV and 225kV equipment. Participate in Hot Commissioning and 1st Energizations of all Electrical Network components. In control of the electrical installation during work activities. Must ensure safe execution of work activities on project’s electrical system. Witness contractor’s commissioning activities on 66kV and 225kV equipment.
Key Responsibilities & Tasks
1/
• Perform power system operations and maintenance
• Investigate faults on site and informing the Control Engineer
• develop strong and positive electrical QHSE culture
• ensure safe switching, operation of plant and equipment, incl. execution of work in
accordance with established Electrical Safety Rules
• Act as Chargé de Consignation at OSS platform and WTG Switchgears

• Supervise and witness 3rd parties 66kV and 225kV commissioning activities
• Ensure that commissioning works is acc. established procedures, contract and project requirements in terms of HSE, quality, planning and budget
• Insist for zero harm HSE policy on a daily basis
• Witness and oversee commissioning works to demonstrate equipment supplied by Contractors provides functionalities and operation acc.to contract requirements and operational manuals
• Implement technical department best practices for commissioning scope
• Report commissioning progress and participate in commissioning meetings
• Advise on human resources, services and tools required to perform the work are identified and mobilized in due time by Contractors
• Monitor 66kV and 225kV electrical operational related activities to ensure safety
• Prepare, review & comment RAMS and other relevant HSE, Electrical Safety and Commissioning documentation
• Capture and transfer commissioning experience into Asset Operations

• Issue and manage Electrical Safety and Commissioning Documentation

• Acts as a mentor to junior SAPs and O&M technicians supporting their development in HV
switching operations

• Controls switching operations for safe and efficient network operation and work activities
• Act as an Electrical Safety Officer, responsible Senior Authorized Person for final decision on switching activities
• Prepare, attend, lead and record toolbox talks and/or asset inductions
• Review and comment FAT, HAT, SAT, SIT procedures
• Attend, coordinate and execute FAT, HAT, SAT, SIT
• Perform site walk-downs, pre-energization, post-energization and random inspections of project’s Electrical Network equipment
• Issue inspection-, walk-down-, Daily Progress- Reports
• Review and comment Test reports, Checklists and related commissioning documentation
• Ensure outstanding work is executed and quality issues are reported
• Register, review and supervise resolution of Punch List items (Non-Conformance, major or minor punch items)
• When required, escalate technical topics to Commissioning Engineers
• Escalate all decisions related to commissioning quality/delay/cost impacts to the MV/HV Engineers
• Review of PTWs and RAMS related to work on 66kV and 225kV systems
• Shadow contractor’s commissioning team during 1st Energization
• Prepare, review, comment and execute HV/MV switching schedules
• Perform 66kV/225kV switching activities and operate 66kV/225kV equipment
• Apply and remove LOTO and work acc.to Mechanical and Electrical Safety Rules
• Act as an Employer on-site representative
• Prepare end of shift handover report
• Assist commissioning team with cross package activities
• Transfer equipment from CTV to assets
• Ad-hoc tasks (both onshore and offshore)
• Prepare and facilitate handover of the Works between installation, commissioning and O&M
• Capture lessons learnt
• Perform general maintenance and inspections of 66kV/225kV systems
• Assist O&M when required
Qualification
• Strong experience in High Voltage network and equipment operation
• Qualified and authorised to operate equipment up to 225kV
• Previous Experience as Senior Authorised Person up to 225kV or Commissioning experience of network and systems up to 225kV
• Excellent understanding of Interlockings, Control and Protection systems
• Previous experience as HV SAP or HV Commissioning Engineer on offshore wind farm is an advantage
• Able to create excellent results through teamwork and develop good relationships with
colleagues and external business partners.
• Able to speak, read and write English fluently, French is an advantage.

• Medical certificate to work offshore
• HTB acc.to NF C18-510 (can be obtained after contract signature but before start of work)
