Role summary
Under the responsibility of the Principal Engineer, your main responsibilities will be to:
• Develop specific specifications for INS/Valves/Packages.
• Prepare data sheets, requisitions, IDS, and other documents for tenders.
• Monitor the instrumentation and control component (vendor documentation) of mechanical packages and manage interfaces with the vendors’ instrumentation and FAT teams.
• Ensure the work is performed in accordance with the latest HSEQ and Group procedures.
• Provide engineering assistance during mobilizations and occasional periods of offshore or site working, including FATs, SITs, Pre-commissioning, etc.
• Participate as required in events such as Bid Clarifications, Kick off meetings, HIRAs, Design Reviews, etc.
• Check that the procedure and analysis match the project objectives.
• Attend to project audits related to Engineering Activities as and when required.
• Attend to project engineering reviews as and when required.
• Provide technical engineering support to other departments within the Engineering Group, the Project Engineering Group, and to colleagues in terms of training and mentoring.
• Ensure that know-how is transferred within the discipline & attend to discipline meeting as required.
Qualifications
• Proficiency in English
• Significant experience in instrumentation for floater and E&I building projects and for this type of activity.
• Demonstrable initiative
• Ability to prepare and manage technical documentation and specifications.
• Experience in interfacing with vendors and managing interfaces with their instrumentation and FAT teams.
• Ability to work within time/budget constraints.
• Ability to work in a multicultural group
Conditions
• Majority of the work is carried out in the regional main office site
• Offshore / Off-site location during project Execution phase as required.
• Working hours according to local regulation and Company’s policy
