Senior power cable grid planning expert (Germany offshore wind farm)

Role Definition

We are looking on behalf of one of our clients for a  Senior Grid Planning Expert for a newly established bidding team. 

Your tasks:

• Participation in tendering and award procedures including the preparation of tender documents, specialist support during negotiations and assessment of offers

• Preparation of technical specifications and technical evaluation of tender documentation

• Identifying opportunities to develop an integrated, meshed European offshore grid

• Conducting power system evaluation required for grid expansion

• Reviewing transmission planning related technical studies

• Identifying and supporting the development of new, innovative methods as well as tools in the planning process

• Leading and inspiring the assigned team(s) to ensure that the department always has optimal, competent, and motivated staff, necessary to fulfil the department’s mission and to give the employees maximum development opportunities

Qualification

Your profile:

• Proven track record as Project Engineer / Manager for grid infrastructure projects in various geographies

• Experience with complex grid extension (offshore & onshore) design and calculations

• Good experience in balancing high engineering standards and risk / cost management

• Not afraid of ambiguity and ability to see the bigger picture

• Internationally experienced team player who can work effectively with different cultures and diverse teams

• Good commercial and business acumen

• Experience in handling diverse stakeholder management in complex infrastructure projects
