Project
Our Client is engaged in the development of a multi GW offshore wind project in UK waters, which will involve gravity-base foundations to be installed using a heavy-lift vessel (HLV). The Project will enter end January 2024 into a Competitive FEED stage, for a duration of 9 to 10 months.

Transportation and Installation (« T&I ») senior project engineer/manager
Duties/responsibilities
Within Client’s FEED project team, and reporting to the FEED project director, the T&I Manager will oversee the tasks performed as part of the Task “Offshore construction design and Execution planning”:
Design planning for Marine operations
Design for transportation and Lift-installation
Marine operations schedule
Interface with the Seabed intervention scope for the assigned scope
Interface with the load-out / harbour activities for the assigned scope
Develop/populate EPCI interface matrices and SoW in relation to the above.
The T&I FEED activities will be undertaken by one of the major HLV specialized subcontractor, work will therefore consist for that part in: overseeing the studies done by the subcontractor and being the focal point for all T&I matters across the Client’s FEED team; managing the FEED subcontract in relation to all technical/project matters, with the support of the Commercial function; Review and take part in validation of the suitability of the solutions developed/intended by the T&I subcontractor, such as:
Design interfaces with the gravity foundations,
Progress and maturity of the technical development (tools, rigging etc),
Progress and maturity of the execution development (marine equipment intended, scheduling of operations,…)
The Seabed intervention will be handled by a partner of Client, duties of the T&I senior project engineer will include coordination with that partner for the assigned scope.
The main responsibility of the T&I senior project engineer will be to ensure the technical suitability and robustness of the solutions developed, the overall reliability of the execution schedule to be developed for the EPCI stage, and to develop cost-optimized / competitive solutions.

9-10 months starting from end January 2024
Location
Job based either in London central (preferred) or Paris area (France), with travels between both. Physical presence preferred, remote work can be considered for a minor part of the assignment.
Language
English proficiency is mandatory (spoken, written). French is a plus.
Qualification
Skills
Deep background of all technical aspects of offshore construction works (marine design, offshore methods…), particularly involving heavy transport and lifting, with capability to enquire and challenge the solutions proposed
High understanding of the execution background of an offshore major T&I project, in all relevant fields: work scopes definition, interfaces, contractual implications
Health & safety stakes awareness
Excellent communication skills, capacity to work in a multi-cultural environment
Technically rigorous and analytical mindset

Experience
– 6-8 year strict minimum experience as offshore T&I operative (ideally as project engineer with field experience and/or senior methods engineer)
