Description
The opportunity
Join the cable accessories and offshore structures design team of a leading international submarine HV cable manufacturer. The role supports the design and fabrication of steel structures and mechanical assemblies that enable the manufacture, transport and offshore installation of HVDC and HVAC submarine cable systems for major grid interconnection, offshore wind export and subsea oil and gas programmes.
What you will do
Produce 3D models and 2D fabrication drawings for offshore steel structures and cable accessories
Develop welded and forged mechanical parts (buoyancy tanks, saddles, riser bases, termination supports)
Prepare loading, transport and offshore installation drawings (cathodic protection, insulation, marking)
Apply welding, NDT and cathodic protection standards across deliverables
Liaise with design engineers, manufacturing workshops and installation teams

Required Qualification
What you bring
Minimum 5 years' experience as Draftsman / Mechanical Designer on offshore or subsea structures
Expert command of AutoCAD plus working proficiency in SolidWorks and / or Inventor
Prior exposure to submarine cable manufacturers (Alcatel / ASN, NKT, Prysmian, or equivalent) is a strong plus
Track record on welded and forged components in subsea, offshore or heavy industrial environments
Fluent English (mandatory). Norwegian or French a plus.
