Project Snapshot
Project: Kaminho FPSO - deepwater oil development
Operator: Azule Energy (TotalEnergies / bp joint venture), Angola
EPCI contractor: Confidential - leading international EPCI contractor
Location: Block 20/11, offshore Angola - water depths ~1,700 m
FPSO capacity: Approx. 70,000 bopd production / 1.9 million barrels storage
Execution hub: Pau, France - engineering phase
Phase & window: EPSCC execution - engineering ongoing, offshore installation targeted 2028
Description
Key responsibilities
Technical documentation review
• Review EPSCC technical documentation: P&IDs, PFDs, cross-sectional diagrams, datasheets, and other engineering deliverables
• Identify maintenance-relevant information from vendor and engineering documentation to support the development of the maintenance strategy
Maintenance plan & functional location hierarchy
• Support the engineering team in the construction of the Functional Location (FL) hierarchy within the CMMS
• Contribute to the setup and development of the Maintenance Plan: maintenance tasks, frequencies, resources, and associated procedures
Spare parts & stock management
• Support multi-discipline spare parts definition across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and other relevant disciplines
• Contribute to stock management setup: define minimum/maximum stock levels, safety stock, and capital spare requirements in coordination with the engineering and procurement teams
CMMS & cross-discipline coordination
• Input maintenance data into the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) accurately and in line with project standards
• Use MS Access and MS Office tools for data structuring, reporting, and coordination tasks
• Interface with other disciplines to ensure consistency of maintenance inputs across the full EPSCC scope
Key deliverables
• Functional Location hierarchy built and validated within the CMMS in line with project schedule
• Maintenance Plan setup completed accurately across assigned equipment families
• Spare parts lists defined and validated for assigned disciplines, with stock levels set in the CMMS
• Technical documentation reviewed with maintenance inputs extracted and recorded in a structured format
Required Qualification
Requirements
Education
• Engineering degree in mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, or a related discipline
Experience
Must-have:
• Experience in maintenance engineering on oil and gas or industrial projects - including maintenance plan setup, functional location hierarchy, and spare parts definition
• Experience with stock management: setting minimum/maximum, safety stock, and capital stock levels
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, PFDs, cross-sectional diagrams, and technical datasheets
• CMMS experience - mandatory (any platform: SAP PM, IBM Maximo, Infor EAM, or equivalent)
• Proficient in MS Office, particularly MS Access
Nice-to-have:
• Previous experience on FPSO projects - topsides or hull maintenance engineering
• Familiarity with deepwater oil and gas project environments in West Africa
Technical skills
• CMMS proficiency - mandatory
• MS Access and MS Office - mandatory
• Multi-discipline spare parts definition across mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems
• Understanding of maintenance strategy frameworks (RCM, PM optimisation) - a plus
Soft skills
• Autonomous and structured - able to manage deliverables independently under managerial supervision
• Detail-oriented approach to technical documentation and data entry
• Effective communicator across multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Fluent English - mandatory
• French - a working knowledge is an advantage for day-to-day office integration in Pau
