Project scope
The assignment covers the client-side supervision of interim maintenance activities on an offshore wind farm cluster, delivered from a CSOV. One Offshore Site Manager is required onboard at all times, sharing 24-hour coverage with an Offshore Client Representative (12 hours each). The role is the primary client representative for planning, supervising and executing interim maintenance work, and is central to keeping teams safe, coordinated and effective offshore.
Role overview
Act as the client's professional and proactive representative offshore, taking day-to-day responsibility for the supervision, coordination and welfare of the offshore site team delivering interim maintenance works, and providing visible HSE leadership throughout.
Key responsibilities
Supervision and team welfare
• Supervise, coordinate and take responsibility for the welfare of the offshore site team during the rotation
• Plan, coordinate and execute deployment of interim maintenance teams in line with construction priorities
• Ensure all personnel are protected through effective planning, supervision and adherence to approved procedures
HSE leadership and quality
• Provide visible HSE leadership, lead by example, and conduct regular offshore walkdowns
• Intervene or escalate when good practice, quality standards or safety requirements are not met
• Lead toolbox talks, pre-job briefings and shift handovers to align the team on scope, hazards and priorities
Coordination and reporting
• Participate in marine operations and project meetings to align execution, access, logistics and SIMOPS
• Monitor and report progress of maintenance campaigns, including inspections, snagging and defect rectification
• Coordinate with the onshore base harbour organisation for spares, tools, materials and logistics
Requirements
Education
• Technical or engineering background, or equivalent professional experience
Experience
Must-have:
• Relevant offshore construction, operations or maintenance experience
• Proven ability to manage, motivate and coordinate people in an international project environment
Nice-to-have:
• Experience supervising interim maintenance or completion works on offshore wind turbines
• Experience working from CSOVs and CTVs
Certifications
• Valid offshore medical certificate
• Full GWO certification
• HUET and CA-EBS may be required
• Health and safety competency (e.g. IOSH, NEBOSH) and a valid safety passport
Technical skills
• Supervision of offshore maintenance, inspection and snagging/defect works
• Toolbox talks, pre-job briefings and shift handover facilitation
Soft skills
• Visible, hands-on HSE leadership
• Strong team welfare focus in a remote offshore setting
• Comfortable with 14-day offshore rotations and 12-hour shifts
• Fluent English.
