Our client is a confidential major European electricity transmission system operator (TSO), ensuring the reliability and sustainability of the electricity supply and playing a central role in the Belgian and European energy transition, building a sustainable, green and reliable energy infrastructure with a strong focus on innovation, diversity and well-being at work.
Project scope
The Project Leading service contributes to the client's high-voltage substation infrastructure projects (380, 220, 150, 70 and 36 kV) within the infrastructure projects department. Involvement runs from project definition to close-out: participation in definition, study and design; safeguarding execution and administrative closure; technical studies; calculations and the development and follow-up of budgets and planning against required and available resources and client requests; development of tender dossiers and participation in the purchasing process; leading and coordinating on-site execution with internal teams, suppliers, contractors and clients; and communication and reporting on project progress. Depending on experience, activities are performed autonomously or with guidance. Hybrid, based in Brussels.

Role overview
To lead high-voltage substation infrastructure projects end to end, from definition and design through to on-site execution, budget, planning and administrative close-out.
Reporting line: You will work within the infrastructure projects department, coordinating with internal teams across the group and with suppliers, contractors and clients.
Key responsibilities
Project management and studies
Participate in the definition, study and design of high-voltage substation projects (380 to 36 kV) and safeguard their execution and administrative closure
Perform technical studies and calculations, and develop and follow up budgets and planning against required and available resources and client requests
Procurement and execution
Develop the tender dossiers and participate in the purchasing process
Lead and coordinate on-site execution with internal teams, suppliers, contractors and clients
Communication
Communicate and report on project progress
Key deliverables
High-voltage substation projects delivered from definition through execution to administrative close-out
Technical studies, calculations, budgets and planning produced and followed up
Tender dossiers developed and the purchasing process supported

Requirements
Education
Master's degree in electrical or electromechanical engineering, or equivalent by experience, with a strong interest in technique.
Experience
Must-have: Project management and/or site-follow-up experience on electrical infrastructure
Must-have: Understanding of high-voltage substation projects (380 to 36 kV)
Must-have: Strong sense of responsibility and organisation
Nice-to-have: Interest in the energy sector; ability to work autonomously or with guidance depending on experience

Soft skills
Organised, client-focused, assertive communicator and a resourceful team player
Perfect Dutch, mandatory; knowledge of the other national language (French) an important asset
