For one of our clients, a major international EPCI contractor, we are looking for a Structural Installation Aids Lead Engineer to act as focal point for the structure discipline on the Baleine 3 project.
What we offer
A long-term contract assignment within a major international EPCI contractor's subsea engineering team on the Baleine 3 project, based in the Paris area, with onsite presence required at least 3 days per week. This is a leadership role with real ownership over the structure discipline on a major offshore project, managing a team and steering technical decisions, with onshore and offshore missions possible depending on project needs.
Description
What you will do
Act as focal point on the subsea project for the structure discipline
Interface with other subsea engineering disciplines, maintaining working knowledge across geotechnics, installation, flowlines and materials
Lead the project structure team: train and support team members, validate technical documents, provide leadership
Manage project activity including resources, budget and planning, ensure timely issue of documents, and report progress to project management
Act as the technical reference point for structure-related decisions across the project
Required Qualification
What you bring
5 years minimum experience in offshore subsea structures (FLET, manifold, suction pile, large mudmat)
Proven application of API 2A WSD, AISC 9th Edition and DNV-ST-N001 on previous subsea projects
Experience on significant projects with FEA software ABAQUS (2D shell and 3D volumic), beam software SACS, and hand calculations
Demonstrated leadership and team management experience
Fluent English, written and spoken; French is a plus
