Role Definition
Job Description: Oversees and manages a large project in Plaquemines Parish, LA. This is a large HV underground project, entailing the underground installation of high voltage and extra high voltage cables and accessories ranging from 69kV up until 345kV. Supervise 5-40 individuals. Job bid will already be completed, but candidate shall be directly responsible to manage the onsite labor and/or supervisors and ensure a safe job completion delivered on schedule and under budget. Update project schedules in MS Project. Monitor and update project budgets. Identify, resolve, or escalate operational problems and minimize delays. Provide project estimation and site supervision. Change and track daily issues for change order tracking and implementation. Ability to be at site at least 50% of the year or as needed. Conduct project meetings and prepare regular reports to communicate the status of the project. Oversight for weekly payroll. Understand customer rules and regulations and assist in maintaining compliance with them.

Qualification
Education Requirement (bachelor, master’s, or other degree, and field of study) and Work Experience Requirement(number of years of prior relevant work experience needed to perform the job offered): Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field, and 3 years of experience in project management.

Required Skills (provide 5 to 7 skills that are absolutely required to perform the duties of the position. The employee must have acquired all of these skills before assuming the position for which certification is sought):
Work experience must have included:
1- High Voltage (69kV-400kV) underground cable manufacturing or installation experience
2- Technical education relating to electrical transmission
3- Partial discharge measurements and the basic theory of partial discharge
4- Working safely in energized and de-energized substations
5- Effectively multi-task complex dynamic projects
6- Accurately monitor financial project status of multi-year multi-million dollar projects including 3-6 month long projects with install values of up to $750K, 6-18 month long projects with install values of up to 1.5M, and 18 month+ projects with install values great than $1.5M
Conditions
Travel required: Required to be at site 50% or more. Ideal candidate would be located in the project location area in Plaquemines Parish, LA and visit site each day (negotiable).
