Role Definition

The role will liaise with:

  • OSS/WTG/IAC/Packages Teams
  • HSE & Marine Operation’s team

The Service Provider shall perform the following activities as state below:

Activity 1: Key role

  • Manage the overall commissioning planning within the agreed construction schedule including key milestones.
  • Coordinate project commissioning activities with main suppliers and sub-contractors including wind turbines, cables, offshore substation up to HV export.
  • Ensure all commissioning is completed in due time and to agreed standard.
  • Manage supervision of electrical switching team directly and other package commissioning resources transversally.
  • Supervision and quality control during mounting/installation and testing of electrical systems.
  • Coordinate installation and test of mechanical components.
  • Take site specific/quality decisions in relation to suppliers.
  • Manager effectively punch closing activities, ensuring timely action from Contractors, in order to transfer any risk or carry over to O&M.
  • Provide on-job training to O&M resources integrated to commissioning team.

Deliverables : Safe and timely execution of commissioning Manager

Activity 2: Transverse

  • Participate in witnessing to onshore/yard activities such as FAT/SAT/Yard commissioning.
  • Take part into offshore LV commissioning activities, ensure the completeness of Contractor’s scope prior taking over of care and custody.
  • Coordinate supplier crew and offshore logistics in liaison with offshore operations team
  • Review of ITPs and procedures from Supplier and ensure verification and validation of product quality controls (QC).
  • Propose mitigations and supplier follow-up actions to the OSS package manager and Construction Package manager.
  • Coordinate the electrical installation & commissioning activities performed by suppliers’ contractors.

Activity 3: Safety and Quality

  • In coordination with HSE department manage the electrical switching activities, including planning and execution of electrical safety procedures.
  • Secure quality of commissioning works and its documentation.
  • Ensure that the commissioning activities are in compliance with the project HSE rules and local legislation.
  • Contribute actively to evaluation of the project and capture lessons learnt throughout the project.
  • Review of product and as-built documentation during AP execution phase.

Timeline : From 01/01/2024 to 31/12/2024

Deliverable : Compliance with Quality and Safety project guidelines

Activity 4: Progress and Reporting

  • In coordination with HSE department manage the electrical switching activities, including planning and execution of electrical safety procedures.
  • Secure quality of commissioning works and its documentation.
  • Ensure that the commissioning activities are in compliance with the project HSE rules and local legislation.
  • Contribute actively to evaluation of the project and capture lessons learnt throughout the project.
  • Review of product and as-built documentation during AP execution phase.

Deliverable : Daily/Weekly/Monthly reporting


Participation to Meetings & Workshops

In order to ensure a continuous communication between the Client and the Service Provider, a series of meetings will be organised by Client throughout the duration of the Contract. Attendance and participation to these meetings will be key to ensure commun ication and alignment between the parties.

Coordination Meetings

Among the recurrent meetings organised by Client, the Service Provider may be requested to attend to monthly coordination meetings. These meetings will aim at:

  • Measuring performance of the Contract execution,
  • Reviewing upcoming needs for additional activities and termination of on -going activities as the case may be,
  • Holding discussions on challenges, difficulties, lessons learnt.

From time to time, the coordination meetings could be face -to-face meetings held in the Client’s offices in St Nazaire /Offshore or Dieppe/Offshore – Courbevoie. However, if jointly agreed, those meetings will normally be held through conference call or teleconference call.

Note:

  • The agenda of coordination meetings is at this stage preliminary and will be fine -tuned all along contract execution,
  • The frequency of these meetings may vary (increased, decreased or even suspended) during periods when exchanges do not seem to be necessary.

Adhoc Meetings & Workshops

In addition, various ad -hoc meetings or workshops will also take place. If Client judges it relevant, the Service Provider will be requested to attend to these ad -hoc meetings.
