Role Definition

The Contract Manager job position has been mainly established to support the Projects Division. Major responsibilities of the Contract Manager include contract review and negotiation of large scale offshore projects. He/she will be part of the Commercial team and work closely with various teams of the group. Moreover frequent contract and negotiation with clients, subcontractors and suppliers will be part of the job requirements. Attention to detail and analytical thinking is part of skills required to perform the job.

Tasks : 

• Participate in negotiations with clients and/or subcontractors;

• Draft together with legal team a variety of contracts and agreements;

• Ensure that company’s legal / internal contract documents are valid and well maintained;

• Manage and interpret contractual provisions of existing contracts with clients and/or subcontractors;

• Ensure notification and submission of requests, notices, and documents, subject to strict time limits; • Assist Project Management team or Purchasing team to manage contract related correspondence, monitor the contractual milestones and related payments;

• Advise Project Management team or Purchasing team on any aspects of project execution which deviate from the contract requirements; • Manage claims, change orders or potential serious disputes, advise Project Management team or Purchasing team or Legal team on these topics, collect necessary back up documentation to support;

• Establish milestone completion certificates and liaise with Finance team for the issuance, monitoring, maintenance and return of bonds;

• Availability for frequent business travels, approximately 20% of working time;

Qualification

• A higher university degree in Law supplemented with proven experience in the cable business or Oil & Gus or Offshore Wind field in a similar role;

• Knowledge of project contract management; o Knowledge of contract preparation and management o Knowledge of contract negotiation

• Knowledge of MS Office;

• Clear and effective oral and written communication skills in English language;

• Knowledge of legal documentation and contracts;

• Must have experience of working in a corporate/business focused environment;

• Minimum 10 years related experience in Oil and Gas or Offshore Wind;
