Offshore power cable & FO design 

Role Definition

• Build drawing packages and schematics using software such as Altium, Autodesk Suite/AutoCAD, and SolidWorks

• Create accurate Bill of Materials

• Work with Engineering team to assist in submitting Design Proposals

• Research optimal parts to use in drawings based on factors such as cost and lead time

• Maintain high-quality version control while working with a team

• Create and/or verify design work from other engineers or designers

• Work in a fast-paced environment with evolving responsibilities based on business needs

Qualification

Requirements:

• Technical degree (Associates or Bachelors) in an area, such as Drafting, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering Technology or similar discipline

• Experience using CAD software

• Experience working in the utility, food & beverage, chemical, or oil & gas industry

• Attention to detail to create consistent drawing packages while adhering to company details and standards

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Interpret Process or Electrical technical documentation e.g. P&ID and schematics

• Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers

• Ability to work with, maintain, and create drawing libraries

• Ability to self-start projects without direction from managers

• Minimum 3 years of experience in related disciplines
