Managing Grid Connection Agreement & contracts related to RTE and connection/operation of the wind farm

The role will liaise with:

  • RTE
  • RTE’s subsidiaries
  • Companies needed to operate and sell energy (responsable d’équilibre, agrégateur, others)
  • Client’s internal stakeholders (stakeholder mgmt., GRI team, PMO, legal and finance, EPCI)

Activity 1: Manage Grid Connection Agreement (Convention de Raccordement) focus on TRE

  • Be focal point for contractual purposes with RTE (and any technical topic depending on background)
  • Lead modification requests (from/to RTE)
  • Lead claims process
  • Provide strategy, draft, coordinate internal feedback and issuing letters
  • Reporting to RTE and project internal
  • Coordinate meetings with RTE and internal so to discuss and clarify any issue
  • Start, coordinate and follow up any variation/modification request (from/to RTE)
  • Review, assess and answer any letter/notification on  relation to the contract
  • Manage the guarantee bonds updates together with RTE and finance dept as per contract
  • Keep record of all Contractual communication with RTE per main topic in case need to use later for any dispute
  • Coordinate any payments to be issued or received
  • Coordinate with document control the issuance of documentation (internal, from contractors, MDR, letters) in timely manner and following up reporting to be aligned with contractual T&Cs
  • Take lead regarding key interface milestones (jalons) achievement – together with interface, HSSE and document control
  • Ensure compliance with pre-requisites and timelines.
  • Provide technical input on Comment Sheets (to be defined depending on field of expertise) so to support the team
  • Ensure the Project (EMDT/EMYN) meet all contractual obligations, in accordance with contractual terms and conditions.
  • Coordinate the internal VCM (Variation and Change Management) process for any schedule or cost modifications

Activity 2: Manage new contracts to be signed with RTE or service providers for being able to sell electricity (i.e. CART, Convention d’Exploitation, Convention d’Operation Maritime, others) – focus on TRE

  • Manage contract negotiation, signature and roll out of contracts needed for using the grid connection and selling energy to the market/EDF OA – highlighting CART, Convention d’Exploitation, Convention d’Operation Maritime
  • Manage the day to day of those contrast
  • Liaise with internal or external stakeholders on relation to any query
  • Review, assess and answer any letter/notification on relation to those contracts in partnership with legal Department
  • Ensure the Project (EMDT/EMYN) meet all contractual obligations, in accordance with contractual terms and conditions.
  • Coordinate the internal VCM (Variation and Change Management) process for any schedule or cost modifications

Activity 3: Others

  • Provide input into the monthly report to RTE and project internal one
  • Review RTE monthly report, provide and coordinate comments to be sent to RTE
  • Take minutes of meeting on contractual meeting with RTE and align internally and with RTE, keep record and follow actions.
  • Act as back up on other contract managers scopes

In order to ensure a continuous communication between the Client and the Service Provider, a series of meetings will be organised by Client throughout the duration of the Contract. Attendance and participation to these meetings will be key to ensure communication and alignment between the parties.

Coordination Meetings

Among the recurrent meetings organised by Client, the Service Provider may be requested to attend to monthly coordination meetings. These meetings will aim at:

  • Measuring performance of the Contract execution,
  • Reviewing upcoming needs for additional activities and termination of on-going activities as the case may be,
  • Holding discussions on challenges, difficulties, lessons learnt.

From time to time, the coordination meetings could be face-to-face meetings held in the Client’s offices in Paris-La Défense. However, if jointly agreed, those meetings will normally be held through conference call or teleconference call.

Note:

  • The agenda of coordination meetings is at this stage preliminary and will be fine-tuned all along contract execution,
  • The frequency of these meetings may vary (increased, decreased or even suspended) during periods when exchanges do not seem to be necessary.

Adhoc Meetings & Workshops

In addition, various ad-hoc meetings or workshops will also take place. If Client judges it relevant, the Service Provider will be requested to attend to these ad-hoc meetings.
