Role Definition

Support the grid connection PM, including taking the lead on offshore-related operations and reporting.

The role will liaise with:

  • Grid package department
  • RTE
  • EPCI and other departments within LEMS

Activity 1: Offshore operations

  • Review PtW and related documentation from RTE (including discussion on MCP – Marine Coordination Plan)
  • Proximity agreement preparation or review RTE’s one
  • Active participation on daily Simops call for each project
  • Review the 7DLA and 8WLA schedules from and to RTE
  • Manage CMD (Construction Master Drawing) to be shared to RTE
  • Coordinate offshore operations with RTE and align with internal schedule/operations
  • Techno-contractual lead on offshore operations
  • Review of installation procedures

Activity 2: Manage agreements and its negotiation

  • Coordinate agreements (ConvRac, CART, CEX, COM and others) needed for the good operation of the WF and its connection
  • Coordinate internal teams to reach an agreement with RTE
  • Manage possible RFQs for side contracts
  • Assess profitability and risks for other side agreements
  • Provide input and support related on techno-contractual interfaces

Activity 3: QA/QC and commissioning activities

  • Coordinate internal and external companies (or attend directly) to FAT, HAT and SAT on RTE key equipment
  • Coordinate the commissioning activities
  • together with the project commissioning lead and RTE
  • Lead or involved on the take over process for the connection

Participation to Meetings & Workshops

In order to ensure a continuous communication between the Client and the Service Provider, a series of meetings will be organised by Client throughout the duration of the Contract. Attendance and participation to these meetings will be key to ensure communication and alignment between the parties.

Coordination Meetings

Among the recurrent meetings organised by Client, the Service Provider may be requested to attend to monthly coordination meetings. These meetings will aim at:

  • Measuring performance of the Contract execution,
  • Reviewing upcoming needs for additional activities and termination of on-going activities as the case may be,
  • Holding discussions on challenges, difficulties, lessons learnt.

From time to time, the coordination meetings could be face-to-face meetings held in the Client’s offices in Paris-La Défense. However, if jointly agreed, those meetings will normally be held through conference call or teleconference call.

Note:

– The agenda of coordination meetings is at this stage preliminary and will be fine-tuned all along contract execution,

– The frequency of these meetings may vary (increased, decreased or even suspended) during periods when exchanges do not seem to be necessary.

Adhoc Meetings & Workshops

In addition, various ad-hoc meetings or workshops will also take place. If Client judges it relevant, the Service Provider will be requested to attend to these ad-hoc meetings.
