Role Definition
On behalf of our client, we are currently looking for an Offshore Vessel HSE Officer, in day/nigth shift rotation, directly onboard our client’s vessel, responsible for:
- Implementing the HSE management systems onboard the Construction Installation Vessel, according to the Company and project specific HSE guidelines and standards;
- Ensuring proper management of all the HSE issues onboard.
In detail, the officer will have to:
• Provide necessary support to ensure that Project HSE plan and Procedures are implemented throughout the entire project life
• Identify safety criticalities and environmental sensitive areas and implement mitigation measures
• Accident / incident investigation
• Participate in site HSE Risk Management
• Act as HSE focal point for the work developed at site / field level
• Ensure the emergency response plan for any identified potential event are tested and applied
• Perform HSE inspections at site level
• Promote environmental and safety awareness among the workforce and hold regular site meetings with supervisors, workers, sub-contractors
• Provide HSE support and advice to the project/site management
• Ensure Project HSE training and Induction programs implementation at site level
• HSE KPI reporting to Project HSE management level
• Safety Observation Card management and reporting to Project HSE management level
Qualification
• Bechelor Degree or Diploma
• NEBOSH GC/IGC
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in HSE in any industry, with at least 1 year experience in construction, fabrication, installation and/or commissioning projects/operations/production in the oil & gas or petro-chemical industry
• Evidence of previous experience of working in ADNOC Offshore projects
• Records of previous ADNOC approval for working on ADNOC projects
• Ability to conduct HSE orientation / induction/HSE awareness sessions to workers
• Understanding and implementation of the HSE Plan.
• Knowledge and experience in implementing ADNOC PTW system and Gas Testing
• Awareness on H2S & Breathing Apparatus
• Ability to understand and participate in Risk Assessments
• Ability to conduct HSE inspections
• Ability to understand and implement Emergency response plans/procedures.
• Ability to speak, read and write English with good communication skills
• Good level of knowledge of ADNOC HSE procedures

• Opito H2S
• Opito Travel Safely by Boat
• ADNOC Offshore Induction
• ADNOC PTW system training course
• ADNOC approved Offshore Medical Certificate
• Any further HSE Training/Certification will provide added value
