Role Definition

Aventa is looking for an Onshore Package/Project Manager for one of our clients.

Areas of responsibility:

  • Responsible for planning, execution and follow-up of dedicated Onshore package
  • Ensure high quality and efficient project execution by close follow-up of team, factory and subcontractor’s deliveries
  • Provide all necessary inputs to Project Director for relevant package
  • Manage according to company Project Execution Model
  • Organise the team and establish routines for close follow up
  • Ensure that all deliveries are according to the contract and optimal for the project
  • Close follow-up of subcontractor’s performance and progress
  • Manage and track Variation Orders (Requests) towards Clients and Subcontractors
  • Ensure respect of the costs according to Budget
  • Report status to project director
  • Participate or organise all necessary meetings , internal or external

Expected results :

  • Take ownership, manage efficiently and independently the Onshore cable package
  • Ensure safe and timely execution of the Onshore Cable Package
  • Know the contract to defend commercial positions toward the Client
  • Control internal costs to the allocated package
  • Motivate team and ensure always proper level of resources
  • Establish a solid relationship with key subcontractor to ensure performance and progress in accordance with each subcontracts
  • Negotiate subcontracts or variations orders
  • Perform subcontract follow-up according to company Project Execution Model
  • Ensure high quality and efficient project team execution by being a real motivator for a satisfactory global performance
  • Report clearly and on time to internal management and to Customer
  • Be an active contributor in the project to satisfy customer

Position sizing :

  • Handle team
  • Manage indirectly subcontracts 
  • Interface with Project Director, Project Engineer, Contract Manager, Project Planner, Document Controller, Project Controller, Project Purchaser, Tender Purchasing Manager, Legal Counsel

Qualification

  • Business master’s degree from university
  • Fluent in English and German
  • Extensive experience in project management and/or subcontracting management (min 10 years with successful results)
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and communicate clearly
  • Team player and motivator
  • Able to lead intense negotiations
  • Experience from any of the following industries: energy infrastructure project, offshore wind, oil&gas, onshore, construction

Conditions

Remote working may be possible during Engineering phase; local presence on site (north of Germany) minimum 3 days a week is mandatory during execution/construction phase.
