Project Surveyor – Offshore wind – GIS

Role Definition

We are looking for a Project Surveyor M/Fon behalf of one of our clients for a job based in Milan (remote working ispossible). The candidate will work on offshore wind projects for theMediterranean area.

The non-exhaustivelist of tasks is as follows:

• Prepare and check the data necessary for the installation of the cables
• Plan, write roadmaps or technical specifications, and deliver GIS services internally and to customers using GIS project management
• Ensure the status of deliverables and the status of data stored in geodatabases
• Integrate CAD geometric data into the GIS, using FME, or vice versa
• Integrate other engineers data into the GIS databases, respecting the internal procedures put in place. You will have to export all or part of this same data in order to circulate information and decompartmentalize departments
• Report to the persons in charge of the projects
• Performe analyses on geographical data by producing cartographic documents or map atlases (.pdf) and producing future Maps Services (.mxd)
• Develop and use python or FME or TALEND scripts
• Provide local technical support

Qualification

·                 Graduate of an engineering school or equivalent,

·                 Knowledge of ArcGis or Qgis softwares

·                 2 years’ experience in the field of GIS and data management

·                 Know how to model geographical databases (data model)

·                 Knowledge of Offshore marine works

·                 Knowledge of Survey

·                 Ability to work in a multicultural context
