Project Sustainability and Environmental Specialist – Milan office

Role Definition

Aventa is currently lookin on behalf of one of his major client a a Project Sustainability and Environmental Manager to be assigned to one of the main active project, located in Netherlands, to be assigned to the Milan HQ with occasional trips required to site,

The candidate, working for the HSE Department will pursue the following main responsibilities:

• To define strategy for management of sustainability and environmental aspects among the project lifecycle

• To assist company functions and project teams in dealing with Client in all sustainability and environmental issues, including frequent meetings with Client and other stakeholders

• To ensure that all HSE activities at project level are carried on in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations, client requirements, international standards, ISO 14001 and company Environmental and Safety Standards, including suppliers/subcontractors

• To support in the analysis of the project EPD (in terms of Dutch version, ECI), including reporting, calculation and management of a local EPD consultant

• To prepare carbon footprint estimation and calculation, including Scope 1, 2 and 3 contributions

• To prepare project Plans like: Eci Management Plan, Carbon Footprint Management Plan, Raw Material Management Plan, Electricity Usage reports, Human Rights policies

• To facilitate environmental and sustainability training sessions and prepare training material at project level

• To promote strategies to innovate and improve environmental and sustainability performances, including documents and activities to reduce project carbon footprint (both reduction and offsetting activities) and to improve scope 1, 2 and 3 reporting

• To review Environmental KPIs at project level, including subcontractors’ performance and their evaluation, including auditing activities especially on reporting matters.

Qualification

• Knowledge of LCA / EPD principles

• 5 years’ experience in sustainability management

• Good knowledge of English language

• Nice to have: knowledge of environmental management / ISO 14001 lead auditor

• Ability to manage different project at the same time
